And They Say Chivalry is Dead

"And They Say Chivalry is Dead" <---My blog title, but I don't know what made me pick it. Yes, I have read that line somewhere before and I just remembered it when I was editing the template of my blog.
And now, it made me think, is chivalry really dead? Let's define chivalry first. Chivalry (n)- 1. qualities of an ideal knight in the Middle Ages; bravery, honor, courtesy, protection of the weak, respect for women, generosity, and fairness to enemies. 2. rules and customs of knights in Middle Ages; system of knighthood. I remembered in our World History class in 3rd year, I defined it as 'kamaginoohan'. Sadly, I'd have to agree that chivalry is really dead. No guys would be courteous to a lady nowadays. No guys would defend the weak, but instead, they're the oppressors, and that makes me sick. I'm a fan of the classics [Romeo and Juliet], and I would tell everyone that Romeo is a perfect example of a chivalrous man. Think, is there anyone right now who acts like Romeo? [Remove the suicide part] Wah. Drabble. I just wish that chivalry isn't really dead. Labels: chivalry Tagboard
